Celebrities are getting smart these days. Gone are the times when a person was talented in a single aspect of entertainment and that's pretty much all they were known for. These days, it's all about diversifying yourself and finding every avenue of self-promotion.

Take Lily Allen for example. She's an accomplished pop star with her own British TV show. Like many other celebrities, she has jumped into the fashion game. The celeb-fashion trend is nothing new but most of the time it's based on little more than endorsements used to sell clothes. In most cases, celebrities with little to no fashion experience tie their name to some crappy line and collect a monthly check while they never actually wear the clothes themselves. Allen on the other hand is one of the few who is actually a legitimate fashion figure. In 2008, Allen got a few positive acknowledgments based on her fashion choices. She took home Glamour's Editor's Special Award, she was nominated for Highstreet's "Best Dressed Celebrity" award and was named Look magazine's 9th "Best Style Role model."

In 2007, Lily endorsed a line of clothing based on her style, called Lily Loves. The line was financed and operated by British clothier, New Look. While the line has since called it quits (due to Lily's intense touring schedule) you can still find some Lily Loves goods in stores and online. Despite having a schedule that seems too busy to worry about fashion, Allen may not only be getting back into the game soon, but also stepping it up. Currently, Lily has a relationship with Chanel. She has custom Chanel goods flown in for her performances, and reps from Chanel are granted front row seats at her shows. There have been talks regarding Lily endorsing if not working on clothing for Chanel. At any rate, Lily is one to keep your eyes on. Whether it be for Chanel, her own line or just pictures of Allen in a fashion magazine, she's on point when it come to dressing well.
