My friends, it's time for us all to broaden our horizons when it comes to music. If you're anything like myself, the cookie cutter blah-blah that is played on the radio can become tedious and BORING. For inspiration, I at times look to the sun, the stars, and even the moon; for good music however I look to our neighbors and exiled conquerors, the Brits. Rarely disappointed by their ability to produce hot new indie act. after hot new- punk act, I found La Roux.

La Roux is the hottest new English electro-pop duo since... well they're hot, no explanation or precedent needed. Composed of 21 year-old Eleanor "Elly" Jackson and sizzling producer Ben Langmaid, this duo is sure to blow this coast up more sooner than later. The two met through a mutual friend, and have been releasing dance hits ever since. On March 16, 2009 "In for the Kill" was released and debuted on the UK charts at #11, 6 days later it shot up to #2. Their most noted single"Bulletproof" was released on June 22, 2009 and debuted at #1. From that point on La Roux tracks would rise and conquer all the Int'l charts, including topping the US dance charts on September 17, 2009.

Touring is usually a huge indicator of the strength, fan base, and talent of a band, and this duo doesn't disappoint. La Roux is slated to play notable festivals including the Glastonbury and Leeds Festivals. They've appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live to rave reviews, and were the supporting act on Lily Allen's tour back in March 09. Australia has it so bad for this English electro-lites that when La Roux released tickets for the their two stops in the great outback, the shows sold out in minutes, and the performances were moved to a larger venue.
